What is a Soul Tree?

A Soul Tree is an in-map object that hosts Souls of Return — the same conceptual extract ticket tied to Woodling objectives. Interacting near a Soul Tree lets you summon an extraction point and leave with carried loot if you complete the channel before rivals interrupt.

Critical rule from in-client help summaries: Soul Trees expire. If you wait too long after the tree appears, it withers and can no longer be used for escape. Treat tree spawns like a soft timer — secure the portal quickly.

Hallowgrove — Return Chime to Woodling to Soul Tree

Hallowgrove onboarding flow differs from legacy Brandrgarde habits:

1. After a period in-match, a Return Chime icon may appear on the mini-map at a randomized location.
2. Follow waypoint markers and audible chiming toward the marked tree.
3. Interact with the Return Chime to summon a Hallowgrove Woodling.
4. Defeat the Woodling — beta help text states it transforms into a Soul Tree.
5. Ring the bell near the Soul Tree to summon an extraction point.
6. Interact with the extraction point to complete the run.

Special audio and visual effects reportedly reveal Woodling location when it spawns or enters combat — call those cues to your squad. Randomized chime locations mean route memorization alone fails; react to mid-run UI and sound.

Brandrgarde — random Soul Tree spawns

On Brandrgarde, in-client help describes Soul Trees hosting Souls of Return spawning randomly in the scene. Extraction points can be summoned directly near Soul Trees without the full Return Chime Woodling sequence used in Hallowgrove tutorials.

Brandrgarde also runs Gyldenmist spreading at regular intervals — open the map to track contraction. The zone shrink is more punishing than Hallowgrove onboarding per official help comparisons.
