Mistfall Hunter Season 1 — Soul Hunt
Season 1 roadmap: Soul Hunt umbrella, August 12 Soul Harvest live, Fate Chart stage, Einherjar, Solo Mode September.
Season 1 of Mistfall Hunter is officially named Soul Hunt in Bellring Games’ July 17, 2026 Steam Official Launch Announcement and the follow-up Developer Update #7. It is not a post-launch surprise — Skystone Games and Bellring ship Season 1 as the day-one live-service package alongside the full client on July 29, 2026 at 6:00 PM PT (01:00 UTC July 30) across Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series with cross-play.
This page tracks verified Steam and press bullets only. Reward tables, Battle Pass tier counts, and ladder brackets may receive fine print closer to unlock. We link deeper wiki coverage where dedicated guides exist.
Season 1 three-phase roadmap (as of August 6, 2026)
Public launch-week reporting frames Season 1 Soul Hunt as a three-phase rollout after the July 29 global unlock:
| Phase | Timing | Headline beats |
|---|---|---|
| Phase 1 — Launch | July 29–30, 2026 | Soul Hunt season live, two maps (Hallowgrove + Brandrgarde), Holy Weapons, Cataclysm, free Battle Pass, Jul 30 hotfix |
| Phase 2 — August beat | August 6 + Aug 12, 2026 | August 6 client — Einherjar Mist Lord + Knots; August 12 — Soul Harvest LIVE + Fate Chart stage; Wave 3 / Twitch windows closed Aug 12 |
| Phase 3 — Mid-season | September 2026 onward | Solo Mode Brandrgarde Normal + Cataclysm (confirmed, not live Aug 6); Ancestor Tree on Hallowgrove mid-season |
Player count context: Mistfall Hunter passed 500,000+ on August 1 and 1 million+ Gyldhunters by August 6 per community coverage — Bellring marked the milestone with Wave 3 mail on Wave 3 Rewards.
August 6 client — Einherjar and Knot (Phase 2)
The August 6, 2026 client update is live — the weekly build teased in Second Wave Steam news:
- Mist Lord in Einherjar Mode officially opens for challenge
- Dried Flower Knot drop rate increased
- Stability improvements; detailed patch notes forthcoming
- Stuttering/latency still under investigation
Full changelog tracking: August 6 Update and Patch Notes. Mode guide: Einherjar Mode.
Solo Mode — Brandrgarde (Phase 3, September)
Bellring confirmed Solo Mode on Brandrgarde Normal and Cataclysm for mid Season 1 in September 2026 — not live as of August 6. Dedicated timing page: Solo Mode.
Soul Hunt versus Soul Harvest — two distinct Steam bullets
The Jul 17 launch announcement lists two separate Season 1 items that press outlets sometimes conflate:
Soul Hunt — Season 1 branding with seasonal tasks and events. Developer Update #7 frames Soul Hunt around the Fate Chart narrative concept driving the season’s main storyline. Treat Soul Hunt as the season umbrella: tasks, events, ladder structure, and live-service framing.
Soul Harvest — Season 1 themed gameplay, listed as its own launch bullet. DevNote #7 said it would roll out progressively after official launch. The August 12, 2026 live update made Soul Harvest live with Soul Cocoons, Fate Altar rituals, Richie trades, and a new Fate Chart stage — see August 12 Update and Soul Harvest. Pre-patch roadmaps also highlighted August 14; treat August 12 as Steam enablement. Ritual elites such as Soulgnawer still matter under third-party pressure.
Do not merge these names. Soul Hunt is the season; Soul Harvest is the core seasonal gameplay mechanic tied to that narrative. Full mode breakdown: Soul Hunt guide. Live ritual loop: Soul Harvest. Seasonal board: Fate Chart.
Holy Weapons for every class
A headline Season 1 pillar is Holy Weapons for all classes — gear with exclusive gameplay affixes expanding build variety inside the base loop, not Deluxe exclusives. Affix names were not fully enumerated in public bullets at writing time. When they stabilize, Holy Weapons catalogs them with extraction tips.
Withered Knight Polearm & Shield at launch; Blackarrow weapon delayed
The Jul 17 Steam post confirms a new Withered Knight weapon archetype: Polearm & Shield shipping at launch — six new skills, distant downed-teammate rescue, and DPS versus support talent paths per DevNote #7. The Greatsword branch received launch optimizations: earlier Parry unlock, extended Parry Counter window, Thorn Guide collision fixes, and hitbox tuning.
The same announcement states the Blackarrow class’s new weapon archetype launches in a future season due to development timelines — not day one. The existing Blackarrow bow class still ships at launch; only the additional weapon line is delayed.
Full class coverage: Withered Knight and Classes.
Brandrgarde Cataclysm difficulty
Season 1 adds Brandrgarde Cataclysm with unique mechanics per the launch roadmap. Cataclysm is a harder tier on the established Brandrgarde map rather than a wholly separate zone. Pair prep with How to Extract and Returner Woodling.
Collection Pedestal camp showcase
Steam’s official bullet names the feature Collection Pedestal — display hard-earned loot right in camp. Some press outlets called this “Trophy Pillar”; functionally it is a flex surface for rare drops, boss trophies, or seasonal cosmetics. It is social presentation, not power — consistent with cosmetics-only Fate Coins messaging.
Ancestor Tree — Hallowgrove mid-season
Beyond launch-day bullets, Bellring’s roadmap names Ancestor Tree gameplay exclusively on Hallowgrove, scheduled for Season 1 mid-season. The Ancestor Tree spawns on the map over time; Gyldhunters can rush treasure or play safe and extract. Deeper coverage: Ancestor Tree guide and Maps.
Ladder, tier system, and Path of Glory
Season 1 ships a Ladder & Tier Reward system. DevNote #7 replaces beta leaderboards with Path of Glory ranked mode (unlocks at character Level 6, opt-in per player). Seven major tiers run from Duskborn through Zenith, with milestone cosmetics at tier advances.
Free Season 1 Battle Pass
The Jul 17 announcement states plainly: “The Season 1 Battle Pass will be completely free!” DevNote #7 names it Slumbering Contract, unlocking after seven days of cumulative logins, with Slumbering Servant outfit redeemable via tokens from regular play. TechTimes Jul 26 reporting aligns — all players receive Season One Battle Pass access at launch regardless of Standard, Deluxe, or Game Pass path.
Optional paid cosmetic mall purchases may still exist alongside free Fate Coin cosmetics only.
Additional launch content
The same roadmap block lists additional new monsters, custom cosmetics, and the Battle Pass and mall system. Open Beta showcased bosses like Sálmar, the Cursed Moonwane on Hallowgrove; Season 1 extends Corroded variety on Cataclysm and Soul Harvest routes.
How Season 1 relates to launch week
Season 1 content ships at launch, but Phase 2 (August 6 Einherjar client, August 12 Soul Harvest live, closed Aug 12 reward windows) and Phase 3 (Solo Mode September, Ancestor Tree mid-season) continue afterward. Patch Notes tracks hotfixes; Launch Day consolidates unlock timing and day-one checklist items.
Open Beta players experienced Hallowgrove (early materials also called Solemn Needles), Withered Knight greatsword, and Gylden Rush events — launch Season 1 is the persistent production expression of the Jul 17 roadmap on two launch maps.
